2008 Sand Sculpture Contest

The Sand Sculpture Contest is the single largest local event for EWB-Denver. This year it will be held Saturday, August 9 at Bear Creek State Park outside of Morrison, Colorado.

Please join us for a day of fun, creativity, and competition during EWB‐Denver’s 2nd Annual Sand Sculpture Contest. The contest will be held on Saturday, August 9th, 2008 in Bear Creek Lake Park near Morrison, Colorado. Teams of up to 10 people will be provided with about 3 cubic yards of sand at Soda Lakes Beach, but they will have to supply the imagination and talent to build a sand sculpture from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm, followed by judging and the awards ceremony. Prizes will be awarded for various categories and the sculptures will be open for park visitors and EWB‐Denver supporters to vote for their favorites.

All proceeds from the contest will be used to support the Denver Chapter’s ongoing sustainable projects in Africa and South America. In addition to supporting these worthy causes, this contest is a great opportunity for your company to network with clients and foster team‐work in your organization. The competition will be intense, so bring your “A‐team” and start planning now for a day of fun in the sand!
