2012 Film Festival |
The Denver professional chapter of Engineers Without Borders USA (EWB-USA) will host their 2nd annual international development film festival, a festival that boasts films capturing the trials and tribulations of development projects around the world. A plethora of films will be featured and proceeds from the event will support the Denver Chapter of EWB-USA in its efforts to advance its clean water and sanitation projects in Ecuador, Togo, and Madagascar. Festival attendees will enjoy complimentary beer, delicious appetizers, and a chance to win some local swag!

EWB-USA Colorado Newsletter |
Ben Mapes, longtime member of the EWB-USA Denver Chapter, is now also the newly elected EWB-USA Colorado State Representative. In this role Ben will work to connect chapters around the state of Colorado and act as a liaison to the EWB-USA National staff. Ben has published the first state newsletter to help share information among the ten chapters in the state.

Denver chapter meetings are held the 2nd Tuesday of every month, 7-9 pm, at the University of Denver Engineering Building (Knudson Hall). The next meeting will be Tuesday, June 12th. The room location is currently Room 309. Click here for a map.

2012 EWB-USA International Conference |
EWB-USA recently held their annual International Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada and it was a great success! The conference focused on issues ranging chapter management to discussions of global issues. Three members of the Denver chapter attended and networked with attendees from around the world. An Introduction to the EWB-USA Mentor Coordination Database |
Take the first step to becoming an EWB-USA Professional Mentor! The EWB-USA Mentors Committee is working to build a database of professionals interested in assisting student chapters with their EWB-USA projects. Regional Mentor Coordinators and State Representatives will be reviewing the information provided by professionals to help match the skills of interested professionals with the mentoring needs of the student chapters. An article about the Togo program was published on Engineering for Change website. The new website launched this month is about providing a forum to connect, collaborate, and share knowledge about projects that are improving the quality of life all over the world.
