The Denver Professional team traveled in August 2009 to the village of Agou Avedze in Togo. The primary task was the construction of 4 Arborloo style composting latrines at the middle school. This included verifying the design, purchasing materials, and assisting in the construction. Another task was the surveying of Fossa Alterna latrines that were built for several households in the prior year. Along with accomplishing the goals set forth for the trip, the team received feedback from the community on their satisfaction with the current latrines and further needs in the village. Another trip is planned for next year. |
